The Government-owned United India Insurance Company Limited here on Friday launched two rural welfare policies for the people of Mandya.Hemamalini, General Manager of United India Insurance, launched ‘Bhagyashri Child Welfare Policy’ and ‘Janata Personal Accident Policy’ at a function organised at Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Kala Mandir here.
Speaking on the occasion, she stated that the policies have been designed to take care of health and wealth of the people residing in rural areas.
The plans demand lesser premium rates for maximum coverage of medical expenses, she said.
Usha Ramaswamy, Assistant General Manager, explained the salient features of the policies.C. Gajendra, Mandya Branch Manager of the company, said that the company had already sold 4,000 policies in the past a few weeks in rural areas and proposed to increase the number in the coming days.
